Jude Kearney is a senior at the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, where he is pursuing a degree in Computer Science with a concentration in Cybersecurity. As a student deeply invested in the future of technology and its intersection with the law, Jude has built a strong academic and professional foundation that sets him apart as both a technologist and an emerging legal mind. On campus, Jude serves as President of the STEM Program, is an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and works as a student employee for the Center for AI and Data Analytics (CAIDA) at UAPB.

These roles have sharpened his ability to lead, collaborate, and communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences. His participation in Hackathons has further reinforced his capacity to work effectively in teams, think creatively under pressure, and deliver complete, functional projects within demanding timeframes. Born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Jude comes from a family with a rich and distinguished legal legacy — one that has not only made history, but has also demonstrated sustained success through merit, dedication, and community impact. That legacy is both a source of pride and a driving motivation. Jude is committed to becoming the next pillar in his family’s tradition of excellence, while also paving the way for younger family members and others in his community. Professionally, Jude has prior experience in data analysis research and web development, skills he brings directly to his work at KLG, where he can assist the firm in managing data and assets, maintaining its web presence, and tracking leads. He is also fluent in German and proficient in multiple programming languages, including C++, Python, R, SQL, and HTML/CSS.

Jude’s legal interests center on Cyber Law and Policy and Contract Law, areas he sees as increasingly vital as society grows more dependent on technology. He believes that as innovation accelerates, it is essential that thoughtful policies and robust legal frameworks are developed to protect the rights and privacy of individuals. It is this sense of purpose — a desire to preserve peace and civil protections in a digital age — that fuels his passion for the law. Jude looks forward to deepening his understanding of legal processes through his internship at KLG and plans to attend law school in the near future, where he will pursue the legal practice he has long envisioned.
